VHF CONTEST POZEGA 2006 Propositions

 

1. CONTEST ORGANIZER – VHF Contest POZEGA is organized by Vallis Aurea Radio Club

     9A1BTU, and is included in 3rd period of 9A ACTIVITY Contest.

2. PARTICIPANTS – Contest is open to all Amateur Radio Stations with valid license.

3. CONTEST DATESunday, 19th March 2006 (Third Sunday in March).

4. CONTEST TIME – Contest starts at 07.00GMT, ends at 12.00GMT

5. FREQUENCIES – 144 – 145.575MHz (2m)

6. ENTRY CATEGORIES:

A – Single operator, all modes (CW, SSB, FM)

One person performs all transmitting, receiving, spotting and logging functions, as   well as equipment and antenna adjustments.

B – Multi operator, all modes (CW, SSB, FM)

More than one person performs transmitting, receiving, spotting and logging functions, as well as equipment and antenna adjustments.

C – FM only

Both Single operator and Multi operator stations

D – YL

E – Non-9A stations, all modes (CW, SSB, FM)

F – Non-9A stations, FM only

     In all categories, only one signal per band is allowed, and no changing of first chosen location  

     Is allowed.

7. MODES - CW, SSB and FM according to 1.IARU Region band plan. Contest entrants may not  

    transmit on repeater or repeater frequencies, nor use EME, MS or satellites.

8. MAXIMUM ALLOWED TRANSMITTER POWER – must be in accordance with  

    participants’ Amateur Radio License.

9. EXCHANGE – Standard exchange: RS(T), progressive number starting with 001 and QTH

    (WW) locator. (i.e.: 9A4P 59 001 JN85UH)

10. SCORING – 1km distance = 1 score.

     Double CONTACTS’s must be clearly marked and scored 0. Mobile and cross-band contacts  

    do not count.

11. BONUS SCORES:

      Bonus scores are earned by working Vallis Aurea Radio Club stations:

9A4P = 2000 scores

12. CONTEST LOGS – must be filled on standard form, with the following data: Date, Time  

      (UTC), Callsign, Sent RS(T), Sent progressive number, Received RS(T), Received  

      progressive number, and distance in kilometers.

13. SUMMARY SHEET – must be filled on standard form, with the following data: Call sign,

      band, WW Locator and height, entry category, operators list, and disclaimer. Authorized Club   

      member (for Club stations), or Contest participant must sign the Summary sheet.

14. PENALTIES – Contest Committee will delete the contact scores if:

· The registered contact time is more than 10 minutes from the actual contact time;

· The registered contact is miscopied or uncompleted;

· The distance (QRB) is calculated wrong by +/- 5km;

· If the unmarked duplicate contact is found, 10-times score for this contact will be   

 deducted.

15. DISQUALIFICATION – can occur if:

· The participant is not following the Contest rules, or not complying to his Amateur   

  Radio License;

· The participant is knowingly disturbing other Contest participants work;

· The participant is claiming non-worked contacts;

· The total score count is calculated wrong by more than 3%;

· The total number of deleted scores is more than 10% (Not including deleted contacts

   with non-IARU member stations);

· The Contest Committee receive at least 3 objective written complains about participant's  

  work.

· Any of the important data in Summary Sheet or Contest Log is missing.

16. FINAL SCORE – Score is totaled by summing contact scores (kilometers) and bonus scores.

17. LOGS – must be sent in electronic EDI format to e-mail: [email protected]

18. AWARDS – First 3 participants in categories a), b), c) and d) will be awarded with plaques  

      and diplomas. All other participants will be awarded with diploma with their call sign and  

      place. First participants in categories e) and f) will be awarded with plaques and diplomas. All  

      other participants will be awarded with diploma with their call sign and place.

19. LOGS DEADLINE - Logs must be mailed on or before 26th March 2006.

20. LOGs CHECK AND RESULTS – Unofficial results will be published on our Web  

      Site www.hamradio.hr/9a3tn before 20th April 2006. Contesters can submit written complains 8 days from the day when unofficial results are published

      After this date, all results will become official.

      Participants will receive written information about time and place of award ceremony. 

      Contest Committee holds exclusive right to made final decisions in all cases of question.

      Every issue not covered by this Contest rules is regulated by 1st region IARU VHF Contest  

      rules.
